Where job seekers meet and connect

One of the topics that came up in our webinar today was how to get started with a blog that you're using for personal branding.

Jesse said that he's going to begin blogging by using his posts to respond to the Learning Circuit's Blog Big Question, which is a great idea for people in the learning profession. If you aren't in the learning profession, see if you can find something similar related to your industry or profession.

Awhile ago, I set up a wiki that describes different types of blog posts, ranging from "advice" posts to "what if?" posts. For each, I tried to create links to some examples. Try taking a stroll through the wiki and see if you can get any ideas for how you might apply these different types of posts to your industry or profession to start writing.

Also--I wrote a post about this on my own blog, asking for advice from readers. Check out the comments section to see what they had to say.

Here are some other places to get ideas:

Jesse also brought up the idea of podcasting--here's an article about how you can repurpose your blog content into podcasts on iTunes.
